With Hach WIMS

Hach WIMS brings SCADA, lab, and field data into one database, then stops. The numbers are stored and charted, but nothing checks them against your permit. Your team scans for exceedances, chases missing samples, and tracks resampling by email and spreadsheet.

Without a rules engine, WIMS can show you a value but cannot tell you it breaks a limit. Getting data back out is just as slow: exports come in small subsets, and multi-year pulls can fail outright. Most deployments still run on a local server your IT team maintains.

Unlike WIMS, which focuses on lab and process data management for a single program, SAMS covers nine compliance programs in one connected platform: drinking water (SDWA), wastewater (NPDES/DMR), industrial pretreatment, FOG, cross-connection control, stormwater (MS4), air quality, asset management, and LCRI. SAMS is SOC 2 Type II certified, built on AWS, and includes an Esri Gold Partnership for native GIS integration. Utilities that switch consistently report saving 70 or more staff hours per month.
 
 
Yes. SAMS automates discharge monitoring report (DMR) generation and supports Net DMR electronic submission, NPDES self-monitoring reports, and permit exceedance alerts. Field data captured on mobile, lab imports, and SCADA-integrated readings all flow directly into reporting outputs, eliminating the manual assembly that WIMS typically requires. SAMS also handles MORs, CCRs, and other regulatory outputs across all nine compliance programs from the same data environment.
 
 
Yes. SAMS IPP replaces Linko for managing industrial pretreatment programs: permitting, inspection scheduling, sampling, violation tracking, and compliance reporting. SAMS FOG handles fats, oils, and grease facility management, inspection scheduling, hauler manifests, and program reporting. The significant advantage over Linko is that both programs connect to the same platform managing all your other compliance programs. Your pretreatment data, wastewater data, and stormwater data share one environment, one audit trail, and one reporting interface.
 
 
SAMS has a dedicated implementation team that manages the migration from legacy systems, including WIMS, WaterTrax, Linko, and spreadsheet-based workflows. Historical records are preserved and imported. Your program configurations are built to match your existing workflows, not a generic template. Most utilities are fully operational within a few months. The SAMS team does not hand off a login and disappear: we remain engaged after go-live to support staff training, configuration changes, and any regulatory updates that affect your programs.
 
 
Yes. SAMS includes a dedicated LCRI module covering service line inventory, sampling scheduling, public notification workflows, and EPA reporting for the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements. SAMS Water also supports PFAS monitoring and sampling schedule management. Both programs are included in the platform today, not on a future roadmap. When EPA issues new guidance, SAMS updates the platform, and utilities already on the system receive those updates automatically.
 
 
SAMS pricing is module-based and does not charge per user or per data entry. Unlimited users, unlimited data. This model differs significantly from legacy license structures where adding chain of custody, customer portals, and field data apps are included out of the box. Price Match Terms and Conditions

Price match is available to new SAMS customers only and is not available to existing customers, renewals, expansions, or additional module purchases. Eligibility requires a current contract or invoice covering the current service period from Hach WIMS, Rio, WaterTrax, or Tokay, documenting the utility's present annual spend. SAMS may verify submitted documentation and reserves the right to withdraw the offer where documentation is incomplete, inaccurate, or not reasonably comparable in scope.

Matched pricing applies to first-year total cost and reflects functional equivalence to the scope documented in the submitted contract or invoice; additional users, sites, permits, modules, or capabilities beyond that documented scope are quoted at then-current rates. Professional services outside the documented scope, including data remediation, custom development, integrations, additional training, and configuration of capabilities not present in the documented platform, are quoted separately at then-current rates. Price match applies to year one only and is not a guarantee, cap, or indication of pricing in any subsequent year; pricing for year two and beyond is quoted at the time of proposal and set out in the executed agreement.

Offer requires a minimum first-year committed annual recurring revenue of $10,000 after application of the price match and a minimum committed term of three years. Offer applies only to agreements executed on or before November 30, 2026, and is not available where a competitive solicitation, RFP, ITB, or similar procurement process is underway.
